Chickpeas cooked

Boil the chickpeas in water or use canned chickpeas. Steam it in a hot pan for a minute or two together with the cumin and the olive oil. Then add the finely chopped onion, the smashed garlic, the salt, the turmeric, the coriander and the freshly grated ginger. Stir it for a few minutes. Add the canned tomatoes and the water. Set the hob plate at a low temperature and cook for additional 5-10 minutes. Add at the end the hot red pepper.
